Quality and health requirements of PVC floors

Last weekend, the AD and ED published an article about the health risks of PVC floors.
We can imagine that the content of this article raises questions and that you may be concerned about the health risks of the PVC floor that you purchased from us. We, but also our supplier (which is why we have also entered into business with this supplier) attach great importance to health and the environment.
That is why all our PVC floors are 100% phthalate-free, contain safe plasticizers and are tested to the highest quality and health requirements.
We can therefore guarantee that all our PVC floors are not harmful to health or the environment. Below we would like to explain how this works.

In the production of PVC floors, plasticizers are used to make the product flexible. In many cases, phthalates are used as plasticizers. However, phthalates do not remain locked in the floor, but spread and end up in the environment. This can be harmful to our health, as the article in the newspaper refers to.

The PVC floors that we sell are therefore produced completely phthalate-free. To keep these PVC floors flexible, they use the phthalate-free, safe plasticizer DOTP. This non-phthalate plasticizer meets various regulations and standards for safe use in products and is not harmful to our health. DOTP is approved within the EU and is even part of the Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH) regulation.

The article in the AD and ED also refers to the plasticizer DINP as a potentially dangerous plasticizer. Last summer, this plasticizer was already placed on a list of toxic (poisonous) substances in America. Our PVC floors do not contain this plasticizer, but only contain the safe plasticizer DOTP.
