  • Acclimatize

    Just like a cork floor, a PVC floor is sensitive to temperature differences before installation. It is important that a PVC floor acclimatizes for at least 48 hours. In addition, it is recommended to use sun protection to keep out direct sunlight. After a directly glued PVC floor (dryback floor) has been installed, the conditions must remain the same for up to 72 hours after installation. The glue needs this time to reach its final strength.

  • Daily maintenance

    The top layer of a PVC floor is almost closed, which means that dirt remains on the top layer. You can easily clean a PVC floor with water and a dash of cleaning vinegar, which prevents a film of dried-on cleaning agents from forming.   • In case of damage

    Scratches can occur in any type of floor, including a PVC floor. For light, small scratches, you can apply a polish layer that masks the scratches. If damage occurs on one or more panels, they can be replaced. It is therefore always important to keep a few panels after installation to repair any damage. A deep scratch can be filled with Scratchfix.
